Transmute Pictures is a Vancouver-based cinematography collective specializing in high-concept narrative and cutting-edge Virtual Production pipelines. Founded by Directors of Photography Marco Bossow and Andy Brown, the collective merges premium visual storytelling with deep technical mastery of modern workflows. As Associate Members of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) and recognized industry leaders in LED Volume cinematography, Marco and Andy co-created and instruct the CSC’s official Virtual Production Masterclass.
Marco Bossow
Marco Bossow is a Vancouver-based Director of Photography specializing in premium narrative projects, commercials, and Virtual Production. An associate member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC), Marco’s award-winning cinematography is driven by a story-first philosophy, seamlessly blending emotional narrative with a deep technical mastery of modern film workflows. As a highly sought-after LED Volume Cinematographer, he co-created and instructed the official CSC Virtual Production Masterclass alongside Andy Brown and Philip Lanyon, csc.
Holding dual Canadian and EU citizenship, Marco is available for both domestic and international productions.
Andy Brown
Andy Brown is an award-winning Cinematographer and CSC Associate member based in Vancouver, as well as a Virtual Production Supervisor with Lumostage. Through his 10+ year career on high end film and television sets, Andy has developed a keen eye behind the lens, giving him the experience and capabilities to tell thought-provoking stories through stunning imagery. Having created and taught the CSC Virtual Production Masterclass alongside Marco Bossow and Philip Lanyon CSC, Andy is able to blend his knowledge of cutting edge technology with traditional in-camera and post techniques, giving him a unique perspective on the future of filmmaking.
